Who is [sic]?
With three decades of direct communications experience focused on wholesale re/insurance markets, [sic] is the antidote to high-cost PR and marketing agencies that don’t understand the insurance business.

[sic] Principal
Dr Adrian Leonard
Dr Adrian Leonard has advised companies from Amlin to Zurich Re. He served as Press Officer for London’s International Underwriting Association (back when it was the LIRMA), wrote speeches for the Chairman of Lloyd’s, edited Financial Times World Insurance Report, and corresponded for A.M. Best. He was News Editor of Insurance Day, editor for the Association of Lloyd’s Members, and Foreign Desk Chief at Leaders’ Edge.
Adrian wrote one of the very first brochures for a Lloyd’s Managing Agency, back when there were hundreds of ’em. About 25 years later he conceived and wrote the first cloud-native interactive ‘living brochure’ for a major wholesale broker. As a Thought Leadership Ghost, he has put literally hundreds of thousands of words into the mouths of industry experts on subjects ranging from cat bonds to insuring antiques. He has written more than a dozen winning Insider Honours entries, hundreds of blogs, and more than a thousand LinkedIn posts.
He surveyed the emerging private Baltic insurance market for the OECD not long after the Berlin Wall came down, and published an internet-based daily newsletter back in 1993 (yes, 1993). Whilst Associate Director of the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Financial History), he literally wrote the book on the history of London marine insurance. For what it’s worth, he has a PhD in History (Cantab) and a Diploma in Marketing Management (NAIT).
Nowadays Adrian is focussed on getting out the word about his clients.
[sic] Communications Assistant
Benita Clark
Benita Clark is [sic]’s newest addition, and an important one she is. From darkest Shropshire she is a keen point of contact for journalists, and an eloquent writer of prose. When not getting out the word on behalf of [sic]’s clients, Benita run’s her own online retail business, and even does a bit of painting on the side. She has a collection of eighteenth-century longcase clocks that is coveted by [sic] principal Adrian Leonard.

[sic] Communications Assistant
Janet Lipski
Janet Lipski first wrote about insurance more than 20 years ago, when being a legal secretary began to prove a little dull. After years as editor of IUA Digest and contributing to trade journals such as The Review of World-Wide Reinsurance (who out there remembers that one?), Janet returned to the world of legal, but the attractions of [sic]’s flexible working policy her back: work at home, or in a café. Her invaluable work for [sic] includes writing, client relations, and a host of invaluable support activities.

[sic] Chief Administrator
Emma Leonard Clark
Emma Leonard Clark runs things behind the scenes, and keeps us in line. She said she doesn’t want to be on here at all, so we won’t say any more!
